What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMS Lab Assistant position at Alamance Community College?
Under general supervision, assists faculty members with classroom/lab instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction as assigned. Prior to class prepares classroom/lab in accordance to lab manuals and/or faculty members. Assist with facilitating lab activities. Cleans classroom/lab in accordance to program policies.Â

- Proficient computer skill and ability to learn new computer programs

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active EMT or higher certification
- Active AHA BLS certification
- Ability to obtain AHA BLS Instructor certification within 12 months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree or higher
- Active AHA BLS Instructor certification
- At least one EMS "specialty" instructor certification (ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, etc.)
- Level I Instructor certifications (either North Carolina or NAEMSE)
- 3-5 years EMS field experience
