What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate III position at Alakaina Family of Companies?
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a potential need for a Research Associate III to provide research support administration services for our government customer in San Antonio, TX.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with collection of supporting documentation for requirement packages, IACUC/IRB protocols for projects performed under this contract, research proposals and protocols, manuscripts, SOPs, reports and presentation editing/review.
- Assists Government personnel in initiating and maintaining regulatory IACUC/IRB requirements.
- Ability to develop and coordinate the implementation of clinical research studies, including regulatory requirements, maintenance of study records and all activities associated with internal and external audits.
- Assists in ordering supplies for research under contract for animal procurement, subject to final Government approval.
- Assists in maintenance of inventory of supplies for research under contract.
- Modifies and plans research experiment schedules, procedures, and tests.
- Assists in the maintenance of a clean and operational lab space.
- Ability to develop, organize and maintain the study database and data validation.
- Maintains data and records securely, including the use of an assigned laboratory notebook.
- Writes and edits research material for publication and presentation.
- Oversees the work of junior level contract personnel.
- Assists PI in tracking and updating established project budgets.
- Assist the Government Support Agreements Manager with support agreements. All formal communication shall come from the Government Support Agreements Manager.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree plus ten (10) years’ related experience or master’s degree plus three (3) years’ related experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course; American Red Cross CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation); or equivalent.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
