Overview:
The Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) serves as an independent assessor and extension of the Navy Security Control Assessor (SCA), validating security control implementation and ensuring compliance with Navy Cybersecurity Technical Authority (CSTA) standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site assessments and validate security controls through testing, interviews, and documentation review.
- Develop and execute Security Assessment Plans (SAP) and Security Assessment Reports (SAR).
- Independently review configurations for compliance with STIGs and SRGs.
- Verify vulnerability documentation in eMASS and prepare summary reports for risk assessments.
- Provide risk assessment consultation to Program Managers, ISOs, and ISSEs.
- Maintain proficiency records and comply with CSTA NQV qualification standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Navy-approved NQV Level III qualification and active PTR record.
- 10 years of cybersecurity validation or A&A experience within DoD environments.
