Job Summary: The MTSS Aide assists in providing multi-tiered systems of support to students. The assistant works directly with students who have a variety of needs. Some of the responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group instruction, supporting intervention strategies, and collecting data on student progress.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Positive attitude and rapport with students
• Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as an instructional assistant
• College classes in English, math, and/or education

Job Description:

• Assist individual students or groups of students
• Assist in student intervention work & progress monitoring
• Assist in the preparation of intervention materials
• Assist in keeping intervention materials & room neat and orderly
• Work collaborative as member of building Multi-Tiered Systems and Support (MTSS) team
• Supervises students upon arrival to school
• Responsible for maintaining confidentiality for all school-related information
• Shall perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
• The position requires occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day.
• Work may take place both indoors and outdoors, with the possibility of some travel to other schools or field trip locations.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, 4.00 hours daily, 20.00 hours weekly, August to June

Salary:

$14.05 per hour

• The SETSEG Healthcare clinic can be used by Aides/Paraprofessionals and immediate family members (spouse and/or dependents), at no cost. The clinic offers primary care, x-rays, some medical procedures, lab work, and limited pharmacy services.
