What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Associate Attorney position at Alahverdian Van Leuvan, P.C.?
Fast-paced, high-volume litigation office is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney or candidate pending admission to the New York State Bar.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and motions
- Appearing for Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), arbitrations, and mediations
- Preparing files for hearings and trial
- Managing a caseload in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines and office expectations
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar or pending admission
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to take direction while also working independently and proactively
- Capable of handling cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for court appearances throughout Suffolk, Nassau, Queens, Kings, Bronx, New York, and Richmond counties, with occasional appearances in Rockland and Orange counties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
