Job Summary
The QC Floor Technician is responsible for performing quality control inspections and tests on products and processes on the production floor to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports continuous improvement efforts and helps maintain a high level of product quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of products on the production floor.
- Verify that manufacturing processes comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality issues in real-time.
- Perform routine testing using measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards in the QC area.
- Support internal audits and assist in preparing documentation for external audits.
- Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as SQF or GMP
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., data entry, using QC software or spreadsheets).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and tools.
- May require lifting up to 30 lbs.
