Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage to address individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals.
- Educate clients on the benefits of different massage modalities and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed treatment records, including client progress and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure comfort and understanding of procedures while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation practices, to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical personnel when necessary for comprehensive patient care or occupational health needs.
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy.
- Proven experience in providing various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
- Experience working with diverse populations in settings such as med spas, wellness centers, or occupational health clinics is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pain management and injury recovery enhances treatment effectiveness.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate clients about their health and treatment options.
- CPR certification is required to ensure safety during all treatments.
