What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Alabama State Department of Education?
JOB DESCRIPTION: To create a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils; to motivate pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge in accordance with each pupil's ability; and to establish good relationships with parents and other staff members (Job Description 10:03).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree. Must have certification to teach Special Education K-12 in schools of Alabama. Willing to assist with Special Olympics and other after-hours Special Education activities. Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Lawrence County Board of Education.

SALARY: Salary Schedule adopted by the Lawrence County Board of Education for the effective date of employment.
