Position Summary:
The Coordinator of Technology assists with the leadership, administration, maintenance, and security of all district technology systems and infrastructure. This position serves as the district’s primary network administrator and provides advanced technical support for network systems, cybersecurity, instructional technology, telecommunications, and digital operations. The Coordinator of Technology collaborates with district and school leaders to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology services that support teaching, learning, communication, and district operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, network administration, or a related field
Minimum of three years of successful experience in network administration, technology support, or systems management
Experience managing enterprise networks, servers, wireless systems, cybersecurity tools, and instructional technology systems
Knowledge of Microsoft and Google administration platforms, virtualization systems, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices
Industry certifications such as Network , Security , Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent preferred
Valid Alabama driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Fingerprint clearance with the Alabama State Department of Education prior to the start date
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the district network administrator and oversee the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of district network infrastructure
Manage district servers, wireless systems, internet connectivity, firewalls, switches, and network security systems
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and software issues throughout the district
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity protocols to protect district systems and data
Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and authentication platforms
Coordinate installation, imaging, configuration, maintenance, and repair of district technology devices and equipment
Assist with technology planning, budgeting, procurement, inventory management, and replacement cycles
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance for employees and students
Assist with administration of technology platforms, student information systems, communication systems, and district software
Coordinate technology support for state testing, online assessments, and district digital learning initiatives
Assist with maintaining data backups, disaster recovery procedures, and continuity of operations plans
Monitor help desk requests and ensure timely resolution of technology issues
Provide professional learning and technical guidance to employees regarding district technology systems and cybersecurity awareness
Maintain accurate technology inventory records, licensing documentation, and network diagrams
Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and service providers regarding technology projects and support services
Ensure compliance with district technology policies, acceptable use procedures, and applicable state and federal laws
Assist the Director of Technology with supervision of department operations and technology initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology or district administrators
