Front Desk Receptionist – Dental Clinic

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental clinic. This role is responsible for greeting and assisting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing patient flow. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Greet and check in patients and visitors, issuing appropriate identification when required.

·         Maintain smooth patient flow in the waiting area.

·         Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments for dental and other clinic services.

·         Answer and direct incoming calls, take accurate messages, and respond to inquiries.

·         Verify insurance coverage prior to appointments or walk-in visits.

·         Collect and post co-pays, patient charges, and other payments into the Practice Management System.

·         Maintain accurate patient sign-in logs and balance daily receipts.

·         Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, reports, mail, and messages.

·         Provide administrative support to front desk and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care.

·         Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·         Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus!

·         Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

·         Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

·         Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with electronic medical/dental record systems preferred.

Education & Experience

·         High school diploma or equivalent (required).

·         1 year of dental clinic experience (preferred).

·         1 year of Dentrix experience (preferred).
