MONTGOMERY, ALABAMA (USA). Alabama Pathology Associates is a leading and growing private pathology practice based in Montgomery, Alabama. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AP/CP board-certified or eligible pathologist to join our dynamic team.
As a physician-led medical practice, APA provides surgical pathology and cytopathology services to eleven hospitals in Central and Southern Alabama.
Requirements: Candidates must possess a medical degree and be able to obtain a license to practice medicine in the State of Alabama. Board certification in anatomic and clinical pathology is required. GI or GU fellowship preferred. Gynecologic and non-gyn cytology experience a plus, as are surgical pathology and/or cytology fellowships. Strong computer and digital pathology skills a plus. Beyond superior diagnostic skills, in order to fit with the Alabama Pathology Associates culture, successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, a pleasant personality, and a strong work ethic centered on being a team player.
The city of Montgomery has a population of nearly 200,000 and is centrally located to several great attractions. The city offers a wonderful cost of living with many surroundings suburbs including one of the largest growing cities in the state of Alabama (Pike Road).
We are offering a highly competitive compensation package that includes medical, dental, paid malpractice insurance, CME allowance, a 401K plan, and more. We have very little expectation of travel as our Pathologist work at one location insuring collaboration during the workday. We do not have autopsies or tumor boards and have a very light call.
