What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) position at Alabama Ophthalmology Associates?

We are seeking a full-time Certified Ophthalmic Assistant for our multi-physician, sub-specialty practice. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, no weekends. Some day travel to our other satellite locations is required. Job responsibilities include: patient work-up, assist in surgery, phone triage, special testing, scribing, and instrument cleaning. The candidate must have previous experience in an ophthalmology or optometry practice and JCAHPO certification. Candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment.
