Key Job Responsibilities
- Transports patients safely between departments using wheelchairs as appropriate.
- Utilizes patient safety criteria and correct patient handoff processes.
- Ensures that patient is comfortable during the transporting process.
- Provides assistance to patient, family and health care staff as needed.
- Places equipment not in use in assigned location and ensures equipment is clean and in proper working order.
Physical Requirements
- The physical activities of this position may include pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
- Must have good balance and coordination.
