What You’ll Do
- Run the tack truck safely and follow all company and DOT rules
- Load and handle tack/emulsion correctly
- Keep the truck clean, serviced, and ready to roll
- Watch material temps and maintain quality
- Help the crew with tasks when the truck isn’t in use
- Maintain a clean MVR
- Know your way around heavy equipment and job‑site safety
- Complete daily safety checks and DVIR reports
- Report repairs and/or repair needs immediately
- Carry a current medical card
- Pitch in on other tasks when asked
- Put safety first
What You Need
- Tack truck experience (preferred)
- 3–5 years in construction, grading, or roadwork (preferred)
- Follow directions and work well with supervisors and crew
- Stand for long periods
- Bend, stoop, crouch as needed
- Lift 50 lbs regularly; up to 150 lbs with help
- Stay alert around moving equipment
- Walk uneven ground in all weather
- Outdoor work in Alabama heat, cold, rain, and dust
- Around heavy machinery, noise, grease, and dirt
- Exposure to fuels, oils, asphalt, and other job‑site materials
