Position Summary
COMPUTR SYSTEMS ANALYST III (GRANT FUNDED)
The Computer Systems Analyst III applies systems analysis and design techniques to complex computer systems in a broad area such as manufacturing, finance, management, engineering, accounting or statistics, logistics planning, material management, etc. Usually, there are multiple users of the system; however, there may be complex one-user systems, e.g., for engineering or research projects. This position requires competence in all phases of systems analysis techniques, concepts, and methods and knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, and the regulations, structure, techniques, and management practices of one or more subject-matter areas. Since input data usually come from diverse sources, this worker is responsible for recognizing probable conflicts and integrating diverse data elements and sources, and produces innovative solutions for a variety of complex problems.
Leidos has an immediate need for a Network Monitor to support the Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) contract. The AEGIS contract provides high quality integrated communications services for secure voice, video and data solutions and services to NASA customers worldwide. The selected candidate will be supporting NASA’s
network needs in the Enterprise Network Operations Center (ENOC) located on-site in Huntsville.
SALARY:
Appropriate placement on Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees
Salary Schedule E1, Grade 1 (Non-Exempt)
Salary Range $55,038 – $72,188
Salary step placement is based on experience per Drake State’s practice for awarding salary step credit.
This position is grant funded: continuation of position is contingent upon grant funding
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Computer Systems Analyst III shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the Drake State
Community and Technical College Faculty and Staff Handbook.

Monitor status of all LAN/WAN network infrastructure
Respond to alarms in Spectrum and take appropriate action against/for them
Create incidents for network anomalies and perform call outs all hours to ensure an analyst is aware of the situation you are reporting
Must be able to think quickly and make the appropriate choice for the situation with little to no supervision
Perform other work-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree AND six (6) years of experience
Work off shift; this position is for off shift once acclimated to the environment.
Basic understanding of PC systems
Experience assessing and documenting communication systems in accordance with NIST standards and best practices.
Familiarity or basic understanding of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, TCP and UDP
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly desirable- experience with Spectrum and help desk applications
Previous help desk or Tier 1 call center environment
Network certifications are certainly considered
