Job Description Summary

The Second-Year Osteopathic Medical Student (OMS II) Teaching Assistant (TA) position enhances the foundational clinical and osteopathic manipulative skills of first-year osteopathic medical students (OMS I). OMS II TAs achieve this by providing direct, hands-on assistance and reinforcement of concepts within the Primary Clinical Skills (PCS) course, specifically for Formative Observed Simulated Clinical Encounters (FOSCEs) and Observed Simulated Clinical Encounters (OSCEs). Additionally, TAs support OMS I students in mastering Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) lab skills and preparing for practical exams. When needed, TAs may also assist with technical skills review in the Simulation (SIM) Center. This role supplements the instruction from the Fellows program, ensuring OMS I students receive comprehensive guidance in their early clinical education.
