Certain skills and experiences may serve as meeting position requirements with managerial approval.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the dietary department staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and implement nutritious menus that meet the specific dietary requirements of residents, including those requiring specialized nutrition plans.
- Oversee patient assessment processes to tailor diet plans that support individual health conditions and treatment goals.
- Manage departmental budgeting, inventory control, and procurement to optimize resources while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans that incorporate dietary considerations for optimal health outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to all health regulations, safety protocols, and sanitation standards within the dietary department.

Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary services within assisted living facilities or similar healthcare environments.
- Extensive knowledge of nutrition science, physiology, dietetics, and patient assessment techniques.
- Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with budgeting, inventory management, and regulatory compliance related to dietary operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Relevant certifications or licensure in dietetics or nutrition are preferred but not mandatory; however, comprehensive knowledge of dietetic principles is essential.
