Heavy Equipment Operator – 3rd Shift (Forklift & Sweeper Operator)
Location: Mueller Co.
Shift: 3rd Shift / Overnight
Alabama Cleaning Service is seeking a dependable and safety focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our 3rd shift team. This position is responsible for operating industrial equipment including forklifts and sweepers to support plant and facility operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to empty hoppers and throughout the facility
- Operate industrial sweepers and cleaning equipment to maintain cleanliness of warehouse and production areas
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklifts and sweepers
- Pulling all garbage and trash throughout the plant.
- Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and operational guidelines
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure aisles remain clear and hazard free
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly
- Work effectively with supervisors and team members during overnight operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must be a licensed and certified forklift operator
- Previous experience operating forklifts and heavy industrial equipment preferred
- Experience operating industrial sweepers or floor cleaning equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and equipment operation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and operate equipment for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments with varying temperatures

- 3rd Shift / Overnight Hours
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs
