What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth & Family Pastor position at Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions?
First Baptist Church of Leroy is prayerfully seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth and Family Pastor to lead and disciple students and their families in their spiritual growth. The Youth and Family Pastor will be responsible for, under supervision of the Senior Pastor, developing and overseeing a comprehensive youth ministry that aligns with the church’s mission and Southern Baptist beliefs. This individual should have a heart for students, a commitment to biblical teaching, and the ability to foster a welcoming, Christ-centered environment.

We are home to approximately 300 members and currently employ a full time Senior Pastor, full time Worship/Senior Adult Pastor, full time Children’s Pastor, and a part time Financial/Administrative support professional. We are also currently in a Building Phase, including a new Education Building and a new Church Office Building.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary preacher, teacher, organizer and relational contact for our youth ministry
- Serve as the primary leader for our Family Ministry
- Supervise all Family Ministry staff and volunteers(currently includes Children’s Pastor, Youth committee, Children’s committee & Preschool volunteers)
- Develop relationships within our schools and community
- Co-shepherd with the staff and deacons in pastoral care, counseling & pulpit supply
- Maintain connections with students after graduation as they progress through their college or early work careers.
