What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Pastor position at Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions?
Fellow Servant of Christ,
Thank you for your interest in the role of Student Pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. I’m delighted that you are considering joining our team at this exciting and significant time in the growth of our church. I accepted the LORD’s call to become the pastor of Mt. Zion in February of 2018. Our church is a rural church located on County Road 9 in Louisville, Alabama. However, God has continued to bless us, and we recently experienced our 200th year of service. Please email your resume if you're interested in helping serve God here!
Over these past few years, we have doubled in size. We usually average 80-95 for Sunday Worship. Our Sunday services are blended (both contemporary and hymn music), and we average 12 children (under the age of 12) every Sunday. For Bible Study, we offer a Senior’s Class (age 65 ), Disciples Class (ages 25-64), College & Careers (ages 18-24), Teens (ages 12-17), Explorers (ages 8-12), Seekers (ages 5-8), and Growers (ages 0-4). We also have a Wednesday Night Fellowship/Supper with three classes (Adults, Teens, and Kids).
As we prayerfully seek Christ’s direction, we sense a clear calling to focus on this foundational mission: “Experiencing God, Building Relationships, Discovering Talents, Preaching with Power & Growing in Christ!”
As our Student Pastor, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the ministry around these themes. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear from you. The information included in this application and website will help give a sense of who we are and why we love Jesus so much. Please do take time to pray and discern that God is calling you into this ministry role, as we also pray for the right one to fill this ministry opportunity. (www.mountzionfamily.com)
I look forward to receiving your application.
