Principal Function
The Pastor is responsible for the spiritual leadership for the church body. He is responsible for using his skills in proclamation and pastoral care in meeting the needs of the church. He has the administrative responsibility of having the church staff and church organizations accomplish/complete their designated ministries.

SPIRITUAL
- Serve as spiritual leader and shepherd of the congregation.
- Proclaim the gospel and lead the church body in proclaiming the gospel to the church and the community.
- Lead the staff and the church in a ministry of caring for the persons in the church and our community.
- Preach at all worship services that include preaching or arrange for someone to fill the pulpit.
- Plan for and provide leadership in the observance of church ordinances.
- Conduct funeral services and wedding ceremonies of feasible, sharing and delegating to other ministerial staff responsibilities in these areas of ministry.
- Guiding deacons to understand the responsibility of the office of deacon. Provide opportunities for deacon ministry training.
- Supervision of all church staff.
- Provide administrative leadership for the total church ministry.
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate congregational services. Lead or delegate leadership of the congregational services.
- Preside as the moderator at meetings of the church. Service as moderator at all business meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the church.
