This is a part-time hybrid role for individuals interested in art and art supplies, based in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities include assisting customers in finding art materials, providing recommendations, managing inventory, and supporting in-store displays. The role also involves coordinating with customers online and over the phone, facilitating workshop preparation, and ensuring a welcoming environment for artists and hobbyists. Some remote work may be acceptable based on tasks and scheduling.
- Customer service and communication skills to engage with a diverse community of artists and customers
- Knowledge of or interest in art materials and techniques, including painting, drawing, and crafting supplies
- Organizational and inventory management skills
- Experience with point-of-sale systems and basic computer literacy
- Passion for art and fostering creativity within a community
- Prior experience in a retail or art-related role is a plus
- Availability to work part-time hours, including weekends as needed
