Summary:
This position involves professional accounting work of a moderately complex nature. This position is part of the Alabama A&M University Foundation.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process and upload all payments for the AAMU Foundation
- Upload all positive pay files
- Process all payables and receivables for the AAMU Foundation Plaza
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the financial accounts at financial institutions
- Process wire transfers
- Pick up and distribute AAMU Foundation mail
- Prepare journal entries
- Process payment cancellation requests
- Review and resolve uncashed checks on a weekly basis
- Manage the virtual credit card payment system
- Perform other duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field)
- At least six months of experience with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
- Must be available for periodic evening and weekend work
