Position Overview:
As the Chief Operating Officer, you will be at the forefront of our client's operations, responsible for driving the company's growth and success in the European region. Leveraging your expertise in the biotech industry and oncology sector, you will lead strategic initiatives and operational excellence to support the organization's mission and expansion plans.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's objectives, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all functional areas. Lead and inspire a talented team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and cohesive workforce. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for growth. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the company's performance and make data-driven decisions. Oversee and optimize the company's financial performance, working closely with the finance team to ensure prudent financial management. Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product development, manufacturing, and distribution processes. Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, vendors, and industry leaders, to strengthen the company's position in the European market. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and ethical practices within the biotech and oncology sectors. Maintain a proactive approach to risk management, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, life sciences, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the biotech industry, with proven success in operational roles.
Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Proven ability to adapt to change and lead teams through complex challenges.
