Al-Zoubaidi Vein & Vascular Center of Southern Illinois is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Scrub Tech to join our dedicated team. Cath lab experience strongly preferred.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the surgeon and surgical team during vascular procedures by preparing the operating room, organizing instruments and equipment, scrubbing in and assisting physician during all procedures, and assisting with patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of vascular anatomy and surgical procedures. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares the operating room and surgical instruments for vascular procedures.
- Ensures the sterile field is maintained during the surgical procedure.
- Assists the surgeon while scrubbed in during all procedures with draping, positioning, and providing necessary instruments.
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and surgical team.
- Responsible for managing surgical inventory (inventory counts, reordering surgical supplies, etc)
- Maintains accurate documentation of supplies used during the procedure.
- Participates in the care and maintenance of surgical instruments.
- Collaborates with other members of the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Maintains a clean and organized surgical environment.
- Assist with clinic and patient care during non-surgical procedure days.
Qualifications:
- Certification as the following: Certified Scrub Tech
- BLS required.
- Previous cath lab experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, surgical procedures, and sterile technique.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining surgical equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to handle stress and make quick decisions under pressure.
