SUMMARY:
As a Commercial Lines Producer, you will prospect and build relationships with business owners, CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, Controllers, and Risk Managers of local and regional businesses to create and tailor risk management and insurance programs for the unique needs of their business. You will use your market knowledge and sales strategies in combination with our internal resources and Account Managers to establish new business.
RESPONSIBILITIES (includes, but not limited to) the following:
- Create and maintain an active new business pipeline of agency’s targeted business by prospecting, networking, marketing, and seeking referrals.
- Actively contact prospects, schedule appointments, make sales presentations, and close on new accounts.
- Develop new and maintain existing relationships with prospective client businesses and the decision makers.
- Work with agency Account Managers on new business quoting process and proposals.
- Retain current clients by maintaining relationships and working with Account Managers in the renewal process.
- Work with agency President to set and and achieve sales goals.
- Design and implement sales strategies, programs, projects, and campaigns with assistance from marketing department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
- Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses or ability to quickly obtain
- Goal-oriented, drive to succeed, self-motivated
- Business to Business sales experience preferred
- Ability to handle customer rejection
- Possess a positive attitude
- Ability to be a team player and work well with CL Account Managers, Sales Team, and Agency Leadership
- Excellent communication skills
