Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Conduct repairs on mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, brakes, suspension components, shocks & struts, and auto body repairs.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair and replace ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and other specialized components to meet safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to complete repairs efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Skilled in automotive diagnostics with familiarity in schematics and technical manuals.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service technology.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair excellence.
- Valid mechanic certification or relevant technical training; ASE certification is a plus.
