AL-NOOR ACADEMY (www.alnooracademy.org) in Mansfield, Massachusetts, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the positions of Male Physical Education Teacher and Female Physical Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Al-Noor Academy is a private Islamic PreK–12 school serving the Muslim community of Greater Boston and the surrounding areas. The school provides an education founded on Islamic values and academic excellence through a Massachusetts state-approved curriculum and NEASC accreditation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field OR demonstrated experience as a sports coach, athletic trainer, or instructor with recognized certifications or significant experience in one or more sports.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school, athletic, or community setting.
- Strong classroom and student management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining an Islamic learning environment and serving as a positive role model.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive year-long Physical Education curriculum aligned with the school's educational goals.
- Prepare monthly instructional units that introduce students to a variety of individual and team sports.
- Teach the fundamental skills, rules, strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship associated with each sport.
- Promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, discipline, leadership, and respect.
- Assess student participation, effort, skill development, and progress throughout the year.
- Organize school sports activities, tournaments, and inter-school competitions when appropriate.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment in the gymnasium and outdoor facilities.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration and participate in school meetings and activities as assigned.
