Overview
The 2nd Grade Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher will plan and deliver instruction aligned with school curriculum standards while fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology to enhance student understanding.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students.
- Assess student progress through classwork, homework, quizzes, and projects
- Maintain accurate academic records and grades
- Communicate student progress with parents through conferences and reports
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with education administration standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required in education or related field.
- Masters degree preferred
- Experience teaching elementary grades.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for working with young learners and fostering a love of learning
Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
