Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using various accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, general ledger accounts, and balance sheets regularly to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare journal entries, perform account analysis, and assist with month-end closing procedures in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Conduct detailed account reconciliation including bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Support payroll processing activities by verifying employee hours, deductions, and related payroll entries.
- Generate detailed financial reports and assist in financial report writing to provide insights into organizational financial health.
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets for data analysis, report creation, and account analysis.
- Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with GAAP standards for accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting tasks with precision while adhering to accounting standards and best practices.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
