What are the responsibilities and job description for the Art Instructor for Children Teens - Kirkland and Bellevue Factoria position at AL Art Studio?
AL Art Studio is a local studio with 15 years establishment and hundred of 4.5 good reviews, served thousands of long term and short term young students. We are now hiring after school hours part time / contractor art instructors , to teach at our own Kirkland and Bellevue studio , possibly Renton and other in-school enrichments, depends on your location. Use ready-made teaching plans and on-going training, at 1:3 -1:7 instructor student ratio.
Paid sensitivity and teaching training 30 hours; Competitive commission rates at $60 per students ; Washington State standard benefit. Potentially convert to full time if have administration skills.
As a candidate, we'd like you to have:
- An art related degree, fine art preferred. good at least two of these art media: chalk pastel, watercolor, pencil, acrylic, oils. Creatively follow and contribute to the studio teaching syllabus.
- 1-year Working or volunteering experience art education to children Ages 6 to teens
- Must consent to a nationwide criminal background check.
- Can work at least half-day on weekends routinely
- Preferably live locally within 10 miles, have a reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Clean up and set up for art class/ party/ camp
- Teach with expectations. Meet studio standard of quality and quantity requirement.
- Organizing and manage daily attendance and students artworks; Help seasonal decoration.
- Basic admin knowledge, good communication with customers.
- Retail, day care experience, or oil painting skills, is a plus.
