Must have:
- 2–3
years of experience developing tools within Unreal Engine for real-time
pipelines.
- Strong experience with Houdini, Maya, and Nuke in a
production environment.
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics development, including
asset integration, shading, lighting, and optimization.
- Demonstrated history of building pipelines and workflows for
or with 3D Generalists.
- Experience collaborating directly with production teams to
identify needs and deliver technical solutions.
- Proficiency with Blueprint scripting and implementing tools
within Unreal Engine.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced, creative
environment with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in C
and/or C#.
- 2 years of experience in 3D
engine development in entertainment or production.
- Familiarity with motion
capture, virtual production, or real-time character pipelines.
- Experience with asset
creation (characters, props, sets).
- Exposure to AI tools,
machine learning, or computer vision workflows.
- Experience using version
control (GitHub, Perforce).
- Proficiency with tools like Blender,
Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, After Effects.
- Previous mentorship or
leadership of engineering or technical teams.
- Agile development experience
with Jira, Confluence.
Key
Responsibilities
- Pipeline & Workflow
Development: Design and maintain Unreal Engine workflows to enhance production
scalability and efficiency.
- Tool Development: Build custom tools and
utilities for artists and developers using Maya, Unreal, and/or Python.
- Asset Integration: Ensure assets (models,
textures, animations) are smoothly integrated into Unreal with performance
and quality in mind.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance,
mentorship, and technical problem-solving support across teams.
- Cross-Department
Collaboration: Partner with production, design, and technical art to align creative and
technical goals.
- Rapid Prototyping: Test and iterate on new
ideas, tools, and systems.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize rendering,
lighting, shaders, and materials for real-time and VR performance.
- Tech R&D: Stay ahead of the curve
with emerging tools, virtual production technologies, and AI-driven
solutions.
