Position: School Bus Mechanic
Wage is negotiable based on experience!
Responsibilities:
- Complete vehicle repair/maintenance work assigned and maintains necessary work related records.
- Work with Fleet Manager to contribute to shop inventory maintenance.
- Open and/or close the shop on a regular basis.
- Perform daily pre-trip inspection on vehicles.
- Perform annual checklist on vehicles to prepare for DOT inspection.
- Complies with all laws and regulations that apply to the department.
- Attends appropriate training sessions as part of programs of continuing education.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
- Post high school training at the college or vocational level with emphasis on mechanics.
- Experience may be substituted for education
Experience:
- 3 years diesel mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and organizational skills necessary.
- Automotive electrical experience desirable.
- Good people skills necessary.
- Commercial driver's license with school bus endorsement desirable, but paid training is available!
Other:
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Pre-employment random drug testing required.
- Must attend all training sessions required by law.
- Must comply with all safety regulations and policies of the company.
- DOT vehicle inspection certificate.
- Will be required to get a Class B license with accurate endorsements (In House Paid Training Available) - If not already licensed

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
