Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lessons on cosmetology, esthetics, skincare, hair coloring, nail care, makeup application, and other aesthetic treatments.
- Supervise students during practical training in salon environments, ensuring safety and adherence to industry standards.
- Mentor students by providing constructive feedback, guidance on technique improvement, and career advice.
- Develop detailed lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate advanced techniques such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, laser treatments, hair extensions, and trigger point therapy.
- Assess student progress through evaluations and practical exams; maintain accurate records of performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new techniques like esthetic laser treatments or deep tissue massage into teaching modules.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in skincare, hair styling, massage therapy, barbering, or related fields.
- Demonstrated classroom experience or adult education background with a passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology and esthetics practices.
- Skilled in various treatments including facials, body waxing, nail care, makeup application, hair coloring, threading, and esthetic laser procedures.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Licensing in cosmetology or esthetics; ongoing professional development is a plus.
