POSITION SUMMARY :
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall safety, cleanliness and maintenance of YMCA facilities. Assist members, guests, and staff in a friendly and professional manner. Keeps, the facility free of hazards and performs maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Responsible for the direct cleaning of the YMCA, such as cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, locker rooms, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, trash removal, window cleaning, picking up trash / spills, etc., floor cleaning and maintenance, in all areas of the Y.
- Follows cleaning checklist for all areas of the building on a daily basis.
- Responsible for communicating and submitting to supervisor inventory and supplies needed to maintain the building.
- Organize, clean and maintain storage area for the cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain a clean and positive image along with YMCA attire / uniform.
- Maintain communication with all staff via in person and / or through work orders that are developed.
- Interact with staff and members in a positive manner and create a team atmosphere.
- Develop an understanding and commitment to the Annual Campaign.
- Other duties as assigned.
