Job Summary:
We are seeking a Fashion Business Development Manager on a temporary contract basis with a strong passion for sustainability and a proven background in fashion business development, sales, or marketplace roles. The goal of this position is to strategically acquire sellers, brands, and retailers to enhance our inventory selection, focusing on growth within the fashion sector. This role requires building and delivering an end-to-end acquisition pipeline and ensuring newly onboarded brands optimize their trading capabilities on our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new businesses, creating a sustainable acquisition network.
- Manage a significant sales pipeline to continuously convert new inventory, collaborating with the Trading function for optimal promotion.
- Work with newly onboarded brands and sellers to maximize their trading potential on the platform.
- Expand partnerships with marketplace agencies and service providers to drive seller and inventory acquisition.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Merchant Integration Solutions, Fashion Category Team, and Sales Operations to ensure seamless execution and integration.
- Proven sales capability and a strong network in the fashion industry
- In-depth knowledge of eCommerce and marketplace dynamics
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
Experience in fashion/retail is mandatory, with a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and platform market including competencies in pre-loved segments, listing management, logistics, and customer service initiatives.
