Considered Applicants will possess the following attributes and perform the following duties:
- Accepting applications for both experienced Superintendents and entry level Superintendents looking to start an exciting career in Field Construction Management
- 5-10 years of Field Supervision and/or Project Management experience in Commercial/Industrial building construction
- Overall on-site management as it relates to Safety, Quality, Production and Scheduling
- Strong communication, time management and problem-solving skills
- Manage and enforce on-site Safety program for all AKRA workers and subcontractors
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions
- Manage, schedule and coordinate the on-site activities of all subcontractors
- Short term project planning and scheduling
- Daily reporting and inspections
- Good working knowledge of commercial building construction practices
- Review and interpret drawings/specifications and contracts to ensure that subcontractors are fulfilling their contractual and quality obligations
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision needed
- Work in unison with Project Management team to ensure that materials are procured and delivered timely
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all onsite trades to define project expectations and coordination
- Team oriented individual with a positive attitude and continual desire for learning
- Be generally familiar with building codes and legal regulations
- Coordinate building inspections and material testing
- Possess at least a High School Diploma and a valid driver’s license
Preferred Consideration given to:
- 10-hour OSHA certification training within the last 5 years
- First aid and CPR certified
- Willingness to travel and relocate to remote project sites
- Willingness and ability to self-perform miscellaneous construction work
- Basic construction equipment operation experience or certifications
- Self-motivated candidates with strong work ethic, detail oriented, strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and computer skills
- Experience with Smartphones and Tablets
- Experience with estimating and/or project management
- Experience with Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings
