Akkodis is seeking a Test Engineer for a 6 month Contract to Hire job with a client in Memphis TN (Onsite). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the Automobile/Manufacturing industry is a must.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
We are hiring Test Engineer II and Test Engineering Technician II to support Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) testing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong electrical fundamentals, hands-on troubleshooting, and flexibility across projects and shifts are required. Test Engineer II candidates must also have foundational PLC and controls knowledge.
Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and procedures
- Provide on-site test support for manufacturing lines
- Analyze test data and report results using Power BI
- Develop and maintain test automation and scripts (Python, C/C , LabVIEW)
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills (Both Roles)
- Strong electrical background
- Troubleshooting of test equipment and PC-based systems
- Experience in manufacturing, lab, or test environments
- Windows/Linux experience
- Strong time management and ability to multitask
Additional Skills – Test Engineer II
- PLCs & Controls: Allen-Bradley RSLogix 500/5000, Siemens TIA Portal
- Ladder Logic fundamentals
- Power distribution, MCCs, VFDs
- AutoCAD, MATLAB, SAP
- Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Modbus)
Shifts Available
- 3rd Shift (Mon–Thurs): 10:30 PM – 8:00 AM
- 4th Shift (Fri–Sun): 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- 5th Shift (Fri–Sun): 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
