Akkodis is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Architect for a Contract job with a client in Charlotte, NC(Hybrid). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.
Rate Range: $70-76/Hr; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Architect to design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network and platform architecture, cloud migration strategies, and enterprise-level solution design, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture & Design
- Develop and publish infrastructure architecture patterns, standards, and blueprints for on-premises, cloud (AWS), and colocation environments.
- Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions ensuring security, scalability, and high availability.
Cloud & Hybrid Solutions
- Plan and execute migration strategies for legacy applications to cloud platforms.
- Integrate on-premises systems with cloud services for hybrid deployments.
Technical Leadership
- Lead cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and engineering teams in SAFe Agile environments.
Documentation & Governance
- Create technical design artifacts including High-Level Design (HLD), Detailed Design (LLD), and build sheets.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and best practices.
Performance & Capacity Planning
- Conduct capacity and performance testing using tools like Dynatrace, JMeter, and SolarWinds.
- Optimize infrastructure for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Integration & Security
- Implement secure API gateways, load balancing (F5 BigIP), and identity/access management (Okta).
- Configure firewalls, SAN storage, and network fabric for secure connectivity.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as liaison between IT design teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Provide consulting on transformation roadmaps and proof-of-concept initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and design.
- Strong knowledge of VMWare, AWS, SAN/NAS storage, network security, and API gateways.
- Experience with SAFe Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in creating architecture documentation using tools like Visio, LucidChart, Confluence, and Jira.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
