Akkodis is seeking an Aerospace Project Engineer for a 5 months contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $50/hr. - $60.00/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of aerospace projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets
• Technical Oversight: Supervise the engineering team in the design and analysis of aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to facilitate project success
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address technical and project-related challenges
• Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of project specifications, design changes, and compliance reports
Qualifications:
• Education: A bachelors degree in aerospace engineering or a related field; a masters degree is often preferred
• Experience: Several years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on project leadership
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in engineering software, and excellent communication abilities
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications may be advantageous.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in engine design, turbofan or fan module design, engine module lead, and aircraft integration or aircraft/propulsion engine certification and testing
• Strong program management skills and experience with EVMS, Cost Account management, Jira/Agile tools, and requirements-based systems engineering
• Ability to work independently and lead teams effecti vely.• Experience working with aircraft OEMs and other key stakeholders.
