Akkodis is looking for a Production Supervisor with 4 years of manufacturing leadership experience to oversee daily assembly operations, manage teams, ensure safety and compliance, and support process and project management on-site in Irvine, CA. Experience in the medical industry is preferred.
Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Irvine CA
Contract: 12 months
Pay Rate: $45-$55/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Job Description:
- Supervise non-exempt manufacturing personnel for final instrument assembly across multiple product lines.
- Coordinate day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth workflow and output.
- Provide input on manufacturability, ergonomics, workflow routing, test improvements, and capacity planning.
- Operate and manage the department within approved budget constraints.
- Willingness to work on 2nd shift as needed based on production demands.
- Requires prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must work onsite; minimum 4 years of supervisory experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering preferred (non-degree candidates considered with strong experience).
- Oversee the packaging line consisting of ~12 employees responsible for packaging catheter products.
- Strong focus on safety initiatives, compliance, and participation in operations support activities.
- Ideal candidate possesses manufacturing supervisory experience with exposure to project management.
- Project management responsibilities include managing critical pathways on the production line to meet goals and follow established processes.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, team management, communication, and organizational skills.
