Akkodis is seeking an Ergonomics Industrial Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for performing ergonomic analysis, capacity planning, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and workplace safety.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Ergonomics Industrial Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Perform ergonomic assessments of manufacturing workstations using digital human modeling tools to identify risks and improve operator safety.
Conduct time studies and capacity analysis to optimize production efficiency and workflow processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ergonomic solutions aligned with DFE standards and manufacturing requirements.
Support new model program launches by evaluating assembly processes and ensuring compliance with ergonomic guidelines.
Analyze and improve workplace design, tooling, and processes to enhance productivity and reduce strain-related issues.
Document findings provide recommendations and contribute to continuous improvement and ergonomic best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in ergonomics and industrial/manufacturing engineering.
Strong expertise in ergonomic analysis and digital human modeling tools (e.g., Siemens Process Simulate, JACK, Ergo Web) with ability to assess and improve workstation design.
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with skills in time study, capacity analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to implement ergonomic and process improvements.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
