Akkodis is seeking an experienced Assembler I (Shift-1) for a Contract job with a client in Southington, CT. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, manual assembly skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble small parts from subcomponents using hand tools and equipment.
- Sort and inspect products for defects to ensure quality.
- Perform visual inspections of products using various magnification tools.
- Complete production records and work order documentation as required.
- Weigh, count, package, and label finished products.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift-up to 25 lbs. and stand for long periods.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
The rate range is $17/hour to $18/hour, negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
