My client is currently hiring for an AI Product Manager in Bear Creek, WA.
Pay: $65-$70\hr(The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Hybrid 3 day onsite a week
Contract 1 year with possible extension
Typical Day in the Role
• Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to wwn and drive AI initiatives within (Minecraft), focusing on embedding AI across the organization. The team operates across three core pillars: enablement, which focuses on driving AI adoption across Mojang through tools, partnerships, and education; product, which owns AI-powered experiences such as recommendations, search, and discovery in the Minecraft marketplace while also enabling AI-driven creation of content; and workflows, which centers on building internal AI tools and solutions to improve efficiency and support teams across the organization.
• Key projects: This role will contribute to helping scale coverage across all three pillars (mentioned bove) by supporting ongoing projects and filling gaps across enablement, product, and workflows as needed. Along with acting as the liaison for the GitHub partnership, representing the team and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support development of AI-driven Minecraft add-ons, supporting on the enablement side by supporting AI enablement initiatives, including scheduling and coordinating education sessions and potentially helping teams learn and adopt AI tools, on the workflow side assisting with workflow/tooling projects, helping manage logistics and contributing to prototyping or building internal AI solutions.
Summary:
The main function of an AI Product Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the product cycle, with responsibilities that include product design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. These experts then determine how machine learning and artificial intelligence can help solve certain problems.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
Skills:
• Proven project management experience
• People management and team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
• Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• PMP or PMI certification
• 2-4 years experience
Must Have
1. AI-Assisted Development & Tooling (1–2 years)
Strong hands-on experience with modern developer tools and workflows, including AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot. Ability to apply these tools in real-world scenarios, prototype solutions, and translate capabilities into improved developer and creator workflows.
2. Software Development / Scripting (3–5 years)
Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, Python) with the ability to understand and contribute to development workflows. Experience with APIs, automation, or game/modding environments (such as Minecraft add-ons) is highly valuable.
3. Cross-Functional Technical Program Coordination (4–6 years)
Experience working across engineering, design, product, and legal stakeholders to drive alignment and execution. Ability to manage ambiguity, coordinate initiatives (such as XTM v-teams), and drive clarity—especially in areas involving emerging technologies or policy considerations.
