NOC Technician

Akkodis is seeking a NOC Technician for a Contract with a client in Melville, NY. You will monitor network events and perform initial triage in a 24x7 environment, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Rate Range: $32.99/hour to $34.99/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

NOC Technician Job Responsibilities Include

• Monitor critical network systems 24x7x365, respond to alarms, and initiate incident management processes.
• Answer customer support calls, create tickets, and perform initial triage for issue resolution.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and system issues, resolving problems using documented processes and run books.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams and maintain accountability for incident tickets until closure.
• Communicate updates and notifications to customers and internal stakeholders according to defined procedures.
• Ensure accurate ticket handover during shift changes and maintain compliance with operational guidelines.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in telecommunications or a similar technical field.
• Ability to diagnose hardware, software, and system issues in a 24x7 operational environment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., SONET, IP subnetting, Layer 2/3 routing) and familiarity with optical platforms and NMS/EMS systems.

Pay Details: $32.99 to $34.99 per hour
