Mainframe Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL. Candidates must have strong proficiency in IBM Sterling ConnectDirect (NDM) and experience with zOS environments.

Rate Range: $49/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Mainframe Developer Job Responsibilities Include

• Develop, maintain, and optimize mainframe applications within zOS environments to support business-critical processes.
• Create and manage JCL scripts for batch processing, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of jobs.
• Configure and monitor secure file transfers using IBM Sterling ConnectDirect (NDM) and related protocols like FTP/SFTP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe systems with applications such as CICS, DB2, and TCP/IP.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe operations, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Document processes and provide technical support for deployments and ongoing maintenance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mainframe development and support.
• Strong proficiency in IBM Sterling ConnectDirect (NDM) and experience with zOS environments.
• Solid knowledge of JCL, batch processing, and familiarity with file transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP) and related systems like CICS, DB2, and TCP/IP.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
