Akira Technologies is seeking Quality Assurance Specialists at varying levels (Quality Assurance I, II, and III) to support a federal client. These individuals will play a critical role in maintaining ISO/IEC 20000 series practices, promoting quality excellence, and driving continuous process improvement across the program. Candidates must be based in the DC Metro Area and available for onsite support as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain ISO/IEC 20000 series practices and ensure alignment with quality management standards.
- Provide training related to quality controls, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Design and test management controls that support efficient and compliant operations.
- Promote quality excellence and support organizational quality initiatives.
- Review and analyze processes and workflows through a quality management lens to identify gaps or deficiencies.
- Correct process deficiencies by implementing actionable recommendations and monitoring outcomes.
- Apply continuous process improvement techniques, including root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Monitor resolutions to ensure issues are addressed effectively and improvements are sustained.
Quality Assurance III (Senior Level)
- Experience: 8 years
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certification such as PMP or ITIL
- Serves as a senior member of the QA team, leading major quality initiatives and overseeing the implementation of quality management controls. Provides guidance to QA II and QA I personnel and collaborates closely with leadership to advance organizational quality maturity.
Quality Assurance II (Mid Level)
- Experience: 5–8 years
- Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Certification such as PMP or ITIL
- Supports quality assurance functions by reviewing processes, executing training, and assisting with corrective action planning. Works under the direction of senior QA staff while contributing to process improvement and compliance activities.
Quality Assurance I (Entry Level)
- Experience: 3 years
- Bachelor’s degree
- Performs day-to-day QA activities including process documentation, testing support, identifying deficiencies, and assisting with training and improvement efforts. Ideal for candidates seeking to grow within a structured quality management environment.
Additional Requirements
- Must reside in the DC Metro Area

- Experience working in federal environments is preferred but not required
Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
