Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Shift4 POS, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, including handling food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and providing exceptional customer service
- Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings efficiently and optimize seating arrangements
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Knowledge of POS systems including Shift4 POS is a plus
- Strong skills in food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and team members
- Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and order accuracy
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends
