Senior Network Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

This individual will serve as a part of a team delivering scientific and engineering capabilities to organizations and operational users. Responsibilities * Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Active Directory as it applies to projects.
• Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Qualifications * U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust / pass DEA agency-specific background check.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in technical field.
• General experience in Project Management, Problem Solving, LAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, Networking Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, Network Troubleshooting, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Performance Tuning.
• Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and network protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP, UDP, SSH, FTP).
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
