Pegasus Aviation Services is looking for a Part-Time Ground Service Equipment Technician to work in Anchorage, AK. The GSE Technician I is responsible for detailing and cleaning all ground support equipment cabs, engines, compartments and providing support on all ground support equipment and will maintain the appearance of all ground support equipment. (Motorized and non-motorized, gasoline and diesel fueled) The GSE Tech I is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Lead GSE/Tech IV. Responsibilities * Maintains appearance of all ground service equipment.
Math skills: * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Abilities: * Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form.
- Assists Mechanics when needed.
- Operates ground service equipment (GSE).
- Cleans engines (gasoline and diesel).
- Performs oil change PMs on light equipment.
- Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times.
- Observes safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks.
- Fueling of all company vehicles.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor and Manager. Qualifications * Be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
- High School graduate or GED. * Must be willing to work in inclement weather. * Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
- Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative. * Able and willing to work without direct supervision.
- Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre-employment drug test.
- May be required to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Accept all other assigned duties as a team.
